Java adult birds from U.S. breeders. Request a quote and we'll match you with NPIP-certified breeders in your state within 1 business day. Pricing is set by each breeder, and FastPoultry never takes payment for birds.

What should you know about Java adult birds?

The Java is a chickens breed kept across the United States by hobby and homestead flocks. FastPoultry matches buyer requests with breeders, and a breeder listing shows NPIP participation once the breeder provides an NPIP number.

Adult birds are proven layers or show birds at point-of-lay or beyond. Expect to pay a premium for breeding-quality adults and to coordinate pickup or a USPS adult-bird shipment. Always ask for current photos, age, lay history, and biosecurity practices.

FastPoultry is a broker, not a hatchery. We don't take payment for birds. FastPoultry does not verify breeders itself: a listing shows NPIP participation only once the breeder provides an NPIP number, which you can confirm with the USDA APHIS National Poultry Improvement Plan. NPIP participation means the flock is tested for Pullorum-Typhoid, the baseline most states use for interstate shipments. After we send you matched breeders, you arrange payment, pickup, or shipping directly with the breeder of your choice.

FAQs about Java adult birds

Where can I buy Java adult birds?

FastPoultry matches buyer requests with breeders raising Java across the United States, and a listing shows NPIP participation once the breeder provides an NPIP number. Submit your quantity, state, and timing using the form on this page, and we send matched breeder options within 1 business day at no cost to you. You then confirm price, pickup, or shipping directly with the breeder you choose.

What does Java adult birds cost?

Pricing is set by individual breeders and varies by season, demand, line quality, and quantity. FastPoultry is a broker, not a hatchery - we don't take payment for birds. Request a quote and matched breeders reply with their current pricing within 1 business day. Ask each breeder whether the quote includes boxing, shipping, and vaccinations, since those items change the delivered cost.

What should I ask before buying adult Java?

Ask for current photos, exact age, lay history if hens, line and lineage if breeding stock, NPIP status, and biosecurity practices. Reputable breeders welcome these questions and provide written health and lineage records. Also ask which vaccinations the birds received, especially Marek's, and how they have been housed.

Pickup or shipping for adult birds?

Pickup is the safest path for adult birds. USPS does ship adult poultry via Priority and Express Mail in approved carriers, but stress is higher than with chicks. Confirm carrier, transit time, and live-arrival policy with matched breeders before you commit. For pickup, bring a clean, ventilated carrier rather than a reused feed-store box.

Can Java adult birds be shipped to my state?

The USDA NPIP state importation table (May 20, 2026) lists VS Form 9-3 as required for shipments into 44 of 50 states, and 31 states list a permit, approval number, or other entry requirement, so check your state's location page before you order. VS Form 9-3 is the NPIP report of sales that the shipping breeder completes, and some states add a permit number or a clean-flock and health-certificate rule. Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands are restricted, and most breeders will not ship there.
