FAQs about Geese

Where can I buy geese?

You can request geese on FastPoultry from breeders across the United States. Pick one of 11 breeds on this page, open the request page for the age you want, and submit your quantity and delivery state. We match you with breeders within 1 business day, and you buy directly from the breeder you choose.

How much do geese cost?

FastPoultry does not set prices for geese. Each breeder quotes its own price based on breed, line quality, age, season, and quantity, and sends it after you submit a free request. Ask whether the quote includes boxing, shipping, and vaccinations, because those items change the delivered cost.

Which geese breeds can I request?

The catalog lists 11 geese breeds, including Chinese Goose, Embden Goose, Toulouse Goose, and Sebastopol Goose. Each breed has its own page with the age classes you can request, such as day-old goslings, started birds, adult birds, and breeder pairs. If you want a breed that is not listed, mention it in the notes of any request and we will ask our breeder network.

Can geese be shipped to me?

Hatching eggs ship USPS Priority or Express and day-old birds ship USPS Express to most of the lower 48 states. The USDA NPIP state importation table (May 20, 2026) lists VS Form 9-3 as required for shipments into 44 of 50 states, and 31 states list a permit, approval number, or other entry requirement, so check your state's location page before you order. Started birds and adults usually move by pickup.

Are the geese breeders NPIP certified?

NPIP is the USDA National Poultry Improvement Plan, which certifies flocks as tested clean for diseases such as Pullorum-Typhoid. FastPoultry does not verify breeders itself: a listing shows NPIP participation once the breeder provides an NPIP number, which you can confirm with USDA APHIS. NPIP status is what most states use to admit birds and hatching eggs.
